Addison bit back the urge to chuckle.So Lexie Grey wanted either her specialty or her ex husband's specialty.She smiled at the intern and said"Well either of them are very difficult fields.Dr.Shepherd is the head of Neurosugery and I'll introduce you later if you want me to."She looked down at her charts and looked back up at Lexie"I took some blood from the Dawson baby in the NICU.Could you take it down to the lab and ask them to run every test in the book.This baby is lethargic and I cannot figure out why."

Lexie smiled and nodded her head, well it would be good to meet who she would be studying under for neurosurgery. "Yeah, that would be great." She told her attending, the smile unable to leave her face. She had always told that the smile could make anyone smile back and that she always knew how to treat everyone. She was sure she got that from her mother more than anyone. Nodding her head as Addison poke for a second time. "I know this is more psychology part of it and I understand the baby's in the NICU but have you tried to just hold and talk to the baby. It might help." She told Addison, she had a feeling that she could get snapped at for it but she had studied psychology for a while and when Molly was sick before it always used to help her.

Addison made a mental note to track Derek down later to introduce them.She listened to Lexie and replied with a bit of a harsh note"Well,her mother is holding her and talking to her as much as I'll let her and nothing seems to be helping."

Lexie winced and knew she shouldn't have said anything and just took the labs. She knew not to question it next time but it was worth a try right? Wrong. "Sorry. I'll take the blood work down and found out what's wrong." Lexie muttered as she waited for Addison to tell her where the blood sample was to be taken down.

Addison looked at Lexie and said"The bloodwork should be dropped off in the lab.That's downstairs on the first floor."Addison was trying not to to pass a snap judgement on Lexie.

Lexie nodded her head and took it in, knowing she would easily remember where everything once she had been told where it was. "You said you had already taken the blood. Where is it?" Lexie asked carefully not wanting to annoy Addison anymore.

Addison had been caught being distracted"Sorry Lexie."She said hastily,as she pulled the vial of blood out of her lab coat pocket and handed it to her"Here you go."She said.

Lexie took the vial and slipped it in her pocket. She was good at remebering things. "I'll go and get it done. I'll come and find you when it's done." Lexie took Addison, trying to work out which way would be the best to go and had a feeling she should just go back on herself and find it that way.
