Lexie had had a great first day, she had spent it working with Addison and things seemed to go well or she hoped so for that matter anyway. Looking around the cafeteria as she had a bottle of water and a fruit salad in her hand. She had decided to brave it out and eat hosiptal food, or hospital fruit for that matter. She looked around the tables and found everyone full with mostly looked like nurses and the odd one or two residents and attendings. None of them were interns since they all had there names sown on there lab coats.
Sitting down on the last empty table as she opened her bottle of water and took a sip. Hoping that hospital food wasn't as bad as everyone said it was.

Meredith had just bought herself a salad and a bottle of water, she wasn't hungry, she had lost her appetite since the break up with Derek. Meredith slumped down in the first available seat and glanced around and looked at the person who was sat at the table. It was Lexie, Susan had shown her many pictures of Molly and Lexie and she knew it was her but she didn't know if she knew about her, yet. "Um hey." Meredith said softly not knowing what else to say.

Lexie looked up as she heard whoever who had sat down talk. She had no idea who they were but they looked familiar to her, like she had seen her before but couldn't remember who. "Hey." She replied uneasily. She thought she would be sitting alone but maybe she could get something out of her and tips on how to treat everyone around here.

Lexie was wearing the infamous baby blue scrubs, like herself. They were the scrubs your wore as an intern and a resident and Thatcher told her that Lexie was in med school last year so it made sence that this year she was an intern. "First day?" Meredith asked timidly, she didn't know whether she should stay or run.

Lexie slowly nodded her head and gave the other female a soft smile in return. "Yeah, it's not as bad as I thought." She pointed out but the smile quickly disapeared when she remember where she knew her from. The name badge gave it away. Grey, Meredith. "Meredith right?" Lexie asked, making sure that this was the right person and not some sort of set up. She had different hair from the pictures and looked different. Mind it was only one picture.

Meredith felt her face heat up. Lexie had just said her name, did she just know her name and not know who she was? Meredith nodded her head. "I'm glad your day hasn't been too stressful. Yes, I'm Meredith." She spoke tentatively.

Lexie smiled well she hadn't made a fool of herself over that. "Thanks. You know I'm Lexie?" She asked, she had a feeling she knew who she was just by the way she was looking like her and acting like she was going to flip out like their dad.

Meredith nodded her head. She knew who Lexie was, she just didn't know if Lexie knew who she was and apperently she did. "I know...Umm Susan shown me alot of pictures of you."[/b] She told her. Meredith liked Susan, loved even. At first she couldn't deal with the over protectiveness but she learnt that was just who she was. She missed her so much and she didn't know her for too long. Part of her wished it was her father who had gone and not Susan, not that she wished him to be dead or anything. After Susan's death he freaked out on her and he had hurt her like he did when he left when she was little.

Lexie nodded her head and flicked her hair back and off her eyes. She knew that there dad had been awful to Meredith after Susan's death but she had gotten it at home. She had quickly found an appartment and was hoping to move in soon enough just so she didn't have to handle with him saying that she should have known what it was. It was close to impossible to dianoise something over the phone. "Yeah, she had a thing about photos." She told Meredith with a smile on her face, thinking of all the photos in the house. "I'm sorry about what my dad done. I get the yelling and the freaking out at home."

Meredith shook her head, Thatcher had hurt her, but he was hurting himself. "He was hurt, and he needed someone to blame. We always need someone to blame when something like this happened and I was the person he blamed. I told her she was going to be fine and I believed it, I didn't ever think she wasn't fine." Meredith added. A few tears prickled in the corner of her eyes. She was more upset over Susan's death than her own mother, her mother wasn't the same person who she once was and she needed to be free from the awefull disease where as Susan was fine, Susan was normal and then she just went. It was quick, sudden deaths are always hard to get over, you can't believe how fast they've gone, there's no time to prepare.

Lexie looked at Meredith and knew straight away that it had effected her in someway. "I get the blame. They rang me for a second consult but it's hard over the phone and I just brushed it off and said it would pass. We can' be in the same room together. I need to move out but I can't afford a place of my own." She pointed out, she knew she was working long hours but her dad was always there and she couldn't get away with it. It didn't help that all he done was drink and drink, he was harder to control then.

Meredith was shocked that Thatcher was taking the blame out on Lexie aswell, so bad that she needed to move out. Meredith had a house, it was a big house and there was room for someone else, it would be weird but she didn;t know George and Izzie and they both moved in. "Uhm..I have room at my mo...well it's my house, now I guess. But I have room..If you erm..n-need to stay anywhere." Meredith suggested.

Lexie looked at Meredith slightly confused. Wouldn't it be weird, the half-sisters that just met today living with each other. She couldn't wait to move out but it was weird. She never expected Meredith of all people to ask her. "If you don't mind. If you find it too weird just tell me and I'll find somewhere else. I would have found one of my interns but we only have 3 girls and they're all into drinking and partying." She told Meredith, she wasn't that girl that partied all the time and didn't want to clean up after them all the time.

Meredith shook her head. "No, it'll be fine. I'll need to tell my other room-mates but they'll be cool with it. So you can move in when ever." Meredith said, slightly more put together than before. She had a sister, and she was going to live with that sister, the siter that she only just met. It was going to be weird but it might not be bad weird, it could be good weird.

Lexie smiled and nodded her head. She didn't have a lot of stuff since she had gotten rid of it when moving back to Seattle. All she had was herself, clothes and personal items such as photos and cd's. "Thanks. I don't have that much stuff so I won't take up a load of room." She pointed out, a smile on her face. Well at least she wouldn't have to live with her father having a go at her everyday and knew he would make some comment about killing someone when she came home tonight.
